Damon Herriman takes over the role of Inspector Lachlan Rogers on the set of The Tourist in Adelaide

Damon Herriman was busy working on his new movie on Monday. 

The actor, 51, was on the set of the Stan Original series The Tourist, shooting scenes dressed as a police officer.

The filming took place at a closed down hospital in the inner suburbs of Adelaide. 

Damon has taken over the role of Inspector Lachlan Rogers, which Hugo Weaving was originally cast in. 

He looked smart in a long-sleeved white shirt, worn with a striped tie and dark trousers. 

The star completed his look with a pair of white sneakers, and he had his salt-and-pepper hair on display. 

Damon later put on a jacket, as he shot scenes surrounded by a crew in a messy doorway. 

A group of men dressed as police officers were also seen filming scenes in the same area.  

In the series, Fifty Shades of Grey actor Jamie Dornan will play a British man who finds himself stuck in the Australian Outback.

The Northern Irish actor, 38, see his character left injured in a hospital, and is unable to recall his own identity. 

He then returns to the outback to find answers about his past, in what is described as a thriller. 

‘The Tourist are some of the most exciting scripts I’ve ever read. I can’t wait to go to Australia with such a talented group of people,’ Jamie said ahead of filming.
