‘I’m still in physical therapy, and you know, just doing really well,’ the TV personality said.

Valastro in September injured his hand when he was trying to fix a bowling pinsetter in his home bowling alley. With his hand stuck in the machine, it was impaled by a metal rod, with his sons coming in with a saw to disable the machine.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight in the wake of the incident last November, Valastro said he was remaining ‘in good spirits trying to look at the glass half full versus half empty.’

He said that the injurious incident – described as ‘a freak crazy thing’ – could have been significantly worse, putting his life in danger.

‘If it would’ve hit my wrist, forget about it. I would’ve bled out,’ he said. ‘I still have my hand, right? I could’ve lost fingers and could’ve went through my wrist and been a lot worse. So, I’m taking it day by day and cake by cake.’
