‘Terrified’ Katie Price has been warned by doctors that she could ‘lose a leg’

Katie Price has been warned by doctors that she ‘must take her recovery seriously or she could risk losing a leg’.

The former glamour model, 42, broke both of her feet and ankles in a freak accident while on holiday in Turkey last month, and is now said to have been left ‘terrified’ by her surgeon’s stark warning. 

The mother-of-five has been told she may not walk for over a year and requires major surgery – but medics are concerned about how prone Katie has been to infections after previous operations.  

A source told The Sun: ‘Katie’s doctors have warned her she must take her recovery seriously and it’s left her terrified.

‘She’s prone to getting infections after operations, and her surgeon says she could lose a leg if her feet get infected.

‘She’ll have to be so, so careful – she’ll have medical professionals on call 24/7 – and change the dressings regularly. She’s got a long road ahead of her.’

Despite her health woes, Katie is currently loved up with new man, Carl Woods, although he was not with her when she was pictured out in Surrey on Tuesday. 

Katie looked a little down in the dumps as a friend wheeled her in her chair, showing off her pink and purple glittery casts. 

It’s clear that despite everything Katie has been going through, she’s determined to keep an optimistic outlook.

Katie has been prone to infections in the past. She famously risked getting sepsis while in the Big Brother house back in 2015 after corrective surgery got infection, leaving an open wound. 

And face surgery last year also became infected, which she documented on her Quest Red reality show, Katie Price: My Crazy Life.
