Outraged Celebrity Apprentice viewers accuse the show of being ‘rigged’

The Celebrity Apprentice has been a ratings hit for Channel Nine this year.

The competitive reality series regularly brings upwards of 600,000 to 700,000 viewers per episode.

But despite the show’s popularity, some viewers have accused it of being ‘rigged’ and showing favouritism to certain contestants.

Backlash: Some viewers of Channel Nine’s The Celebrity Apprentice have accused the reality show of being ‘rigged’

‘Seriously?! This show was rigged from the beginning to send Ross [Noble] all the way,’ raged one viewer.

‘I knew in episode one as soon as Lord Sugar said the only celeb he knew was Ross! He should have gone the second time he failed as project manager!’

Another tweeted in reference to a Martha Kalifatidis: ‘This show is rigged. Teasing a certain person will be sacked but we all know Sugar won’t have the guts to sack her.

‘She obviously has a contract guaranteeing the final. Exhausting.’

'You're not even trying to hide it!' Furious fans have tweeted accusations throughout the course of the season

‘Celebrity Apprentice is bloody rigged. They just get rid of whoever they want,’ a third viewer tweeted.

However, another fan said they liked the idea of producers influencing the show because it means the more entertaining people get to stay.

‘I can’t really be certain if I am outraged at or appreciative of the fact Celebrity Apprentice is so obviously rigged,’ they wrote.

‘If it weren’t, I might be watching the blond influencer kid [Alex Hayes] and Michelle [Bridges] still. No one wants that.’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Nine for comment.

While Martha has now been eliminated from the show, viewers were outraged after she was saved during Sunday’s episode despite ‘cheating’ in a challenge.

Viewers questioned why Martha, 32, wasn’t immediately fired by Lord Alan Sugar after she called for boyfriend Michael Brunelli to help her win the challenge.

During the episode, Martha called her her close contacts and her reality star boyfriend to spend over $950 on ice cream.

When confronted by boss Alan Sugar in the boardroom, Martha lied and denied that Michael had even been present.

‘This was not about getting your contacts to buy truckloads of ice creams, Martha. It’s not fair to create false sales,’ Sugar warned her.

‘I’ve got to teach you a lesson here. I’m going to strike those sales off the table.’

But even with $1,1175 of ‘false sales’, Martha and Shaynna trounced the boys with $1136 in sales to their $682.50.

That meant Martha was saved – and the boy’s team leader Wippa was fired, however fans watching from home were left fuming.

Quick to flock to social media media, one fan slammed the series writing: ‘Teaching kids all over Australia, that its ok to cheat, as long as you win.’

Another wrote: ‘This show is an absolute joke, how overtly rigged it is. If a contestant OVERTLY cheats the rules they should be sacked & ALL monies nullified. Proof that she just has a guaranteed contract, which is embarrassing.’

A third chimed: ‘What a joke. Martha should be fired for that. #CelebrityApprentice.’

‘Martha is still a cheater. Most of those sales were still fraudulent unnoticed by Lord Sugar!’ said another.
