After teaming up with Netflix on her directorial debut Bruised, slated for release later this year, Halle Berry has joined Our Man From Jersey for the streaming service.
Berry, 54, has signed on to star in the spy thriller alongside Mark Wahlberg, according to Variety.
No director is in place for the project at this time, and it’s unclear when or where filming may take place.

While no details about Berry and Wahlberg’s characters were given, the story is described as, ‘a blue collar James Bond.’
Wahlberg will also serve as a producer alongside his longtime producing partner Steven Levinson, following their successful Netflix movie Spenser Confidential.
Designated Survivor creator David Guggenheim wrote the screenplay, which is based on an idea by Levinson.

Berry is no stranger to the spy game, having played Jinx in the 2002 James Bond movie Die Another Day, alongside Pierce Brosnan.
She has been focusing on action-centric fair over the past few years, with roles in Kidnap, Kingsman: The Golden Circle and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
She also stars in her directorial debut, Bruised, as Jackie Justice, a disgraced MMA star who tries to revive her relationship with her son, and her career at once.

She also has the big-budget outer space thriller Moonfall from director Roland Emmerich, also starring Patrick Wilson, Michael Pena and Donald Sutherland.
The project follows a space crew travels to the moon after it’s struck by an asteroid and is sent on a collision course with Earth, currently in post-production.
She also stars in The Mothership, playing a woman whose husband disappeared a year earlier, and finds a strange alien object underneath their home.

Wahlberg will next be seen on the big screen in Infinite from director Antoine Fuqua, in theaters September 24, starring Dylan O’Brien and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
He also stars in Uncharted, alongside Tom Holland, based on the hit video game franchise, arriving February 11, 2022.
