Sam Armytage ‘is set to release a tell-all book’ about her time on Sunrise – just three months after her tearful exit from the Seven breakfast show
She bid a tearful farewell to Channel Seven’s Sunrise in March, after eight years hosting Australia’s most-watched breakfast show.
And Sam Armytage could be reliving some of her most cherished and outrageous memories from the program, with rumours surfacing on Monday that she’s set to release a ‘tell-all book’ about her time in the TV industry.
According to New Idea, the 44-year-old has been approached by a publisher to write her own memoir, and ‘no one is exempt’ from being written about.

‘She has her sights on her next big project, which by every report will be a blockbuster tell-all book about her years at the helm of Sunrise,’ a source said.
‘She has the most extraordinary memories on just about everyone at the network since the day she took over as main host from Mel [Doyle] – no one is exempt!’
Samantha is also said to be impressed by the success of Sunrise weather presenter Sam Mac’s book Accidental Weatherman, and wants to follow suit.

‘The whisper around the corridors is she’s planning a huge “whooshka” and will stop at nothing to spill the beans on her notoriously tough TV industry,’ the insider added.
The source went on to claim that Sam, who is notoriously private, will likely discuss her marriage to millionaire businessman Richard Lavender in the book.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Sam’s manager, Anthony Bell, for comment.

In an interview with Stellar magazine published weeks before she quit Sunrise, Sam said the television business was ‘a dangerous environment’.
‘TV isn’t a place that’s necessarily very healthy,’ she said. ‘It’s full of sociopaths and narcissists – it can be a dangerous environment, let me tell you.’
She also revealed last month she’d unfollowed people on Instagram who ‘annoy or irritate her’.
While she still follows some of her colleagues, including Kylie Gillies, Sam Mac and Edwina Bartholomew, she doesn’t follow current Sunrise hosts Nat Barr and Kochie.
