The 28-year-old, speaking with People on Tuesday, said the injury will ‘absolutely not’ keep him from the show Sunday.

‘That’s kind of my attitude about everything: nothing’s going to hold me back,’ said Jonas, adding that he’s ‘feeling really good, all things considered’ after injuring himself Saturday during the taping of a show called Olympic Dreams Featuring Jonas Brothers. ‘It was intense but I’m here and I feel great.’

‘It’s one of those frustrating injuries because there’s really nothing you can do about it except just wait it out … I feel very lucky that it was all good in the end.’

The New Jersey native said that amid preparation for the BBMAs, morale has been high as ‘there’s a real joy in the air and you can feel that.

‘I mean obviously things will be a little bit different this year with all the precautions being taken by the BBMAs but I think just adds an extra layer of something special, something to remember, and we’re going to bring some great performances,’ Jonas said. ‘Obviously a really unique set and design and some surprises. So I think this is a must-watch for everybody.’
