Häagen-Dazs launches alcoholic Lime Mojito and Pina Colada flavours which come with a touch of rum

Häagen-Dazs is bringing a taste of the sun to the UK with a new range of alcoholic ice cream flavours based on fruity summertime cocktails.

The US luxury ice cream brand is launching Lime Mojito Sorbet and Piña Colada Ice Creams next week, in the hope to give locked down Brits a taste of the sun.

Both are available from Sunday 23rd May from Asda across the UK, and cost £4.99.

The Lime Mojito Sorbet, which is vegan, is infused with a touch of rum and generous swirl of sweet mint coulis, while the Piña Colada Ice Cream is luxuriously creamy with coconut and pineapple ice cream, and an indulgent swirl of pineapple rum sauce. 

Containing just a drop of alcohol (less than 0.97 per cent per tub), Häagen-Dazs say they’re the perfect adult treat, and also a tasty alternative to cocktails for those seeking low and no alcohol options.

Loved by many for over 60 years, Häagen-Dazs elevates the craft of ice cream, celebrating the power of real, perfectly balanced ingredients, to create luxurious textures and unforgettable flavours. 

But the ice cream is clearly more about the flavor than the booze content, and will be the newest variety that the brand adds to its Spirit Collection. 

The Spirit Collection also includes Bourbon Praline Pecan, Bourbon Vanilla Bean Truffle, Irish Cream Brownie, Rum Tres Leches, Stout Chocolate Pretzel Crunch, and non-dairy Amaretto Black Cherry Almond Toffee.

Last year they also launched Rosé & Cream flavour in the US, while they also sell Irish Cream Squares. 

In 2020, the popular brand also unveiled its new Heaven line, which includes four different flavors with a third fewer calories than regular ice cream.

The collection has just 210 to 230 calories per serving, compared to up to 380 calories in its traditional flavors.
