Darren McMullen is best known as the co-host of The Voice Australia.

And on Thursday, the former TV host stepped out to support the charitable work of Jimmy Niggles – real name Scott Maggs – for the Million Dollar Beard Ball.

The 39-year-old looked suave in all-black ensemble – a satin blazer, trousers and loafers – as he smiled for photos at the Ivy Ballroom in Sydney.

Out for a good cause! Darren McMullen stepped out in a suave ensemble for the Million Dollar Beard Ball in Sydney, on Thursday

He accessorised with a gold chain under his collar and a statement watch peeking out from under his sleeve.

Darren opted for a rugged look with a neat beard and his hair slicked back.

The actor, who is currently starring in Doctor Doctor, also appeared to have a touch of bronzer on his famous visage.

The Million Dollar Beard Ball will see Jimmy Niggles shave off his majestically long beard, which he has been growing since his friend, Wes Bonny, died from melanoma at just 26.

The money raised will go toward the world’s first, targeted national skin check program, called Project Check Mate.

Jimmy began growing his beard over a decade ago, to honour his friend and to use it as a life-changing conversation starter – to challenge everyone he spoke to get checked.

He described starting the charity as a ‘leap of faith’ – but looking back, it has no doubt helped to save so many lives across the country.
