Former Bachelorette Angie Kent reveals she’s STILL not ready to return to the dating game

It’s been almost one year since Bachelorette Angie Kent and her ‘winner’ beau Carlin Sterritt broke up.

But while some say time heals all wounds, the 31-year-old claims she still isn’t quite ready to return to the dating scene.

In a new interview with Who Magazine, Angie admitted: ‘I’m too scared, I don’t think I’m ready, I’m still working on myself – I know that sounds cliché, but I am.’

Following her split from Carlin, the ex-Gogglebox star focused her energy on launching an acting career – and landed a debut role in upcoming horror movie, The Possessed.

‘I haven’t really had time to think of dating. Some people jump on whereas I like to work on myself and then keep working to kind of get over that.

However, Angie did admits that she probably should start dating again soon.

‘I’ll give myself a couple more months and then I might try – watch this space!’ she added.

In November last year, the blonde beauty told Kyle and Jackie O Show she would be taking a step back from dating to enjoy being single.

‘I’m not cuddling with anyone, I’m so boring. I would tell you I promise,’ she told hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson at the time.

‘After dating 20 dudes, like I know that was a year ago now, but like, Carlin and I only broke up a few months ago, so it’s kinda like you don’t want to jump straight back in,’ she explained.

‘Plus, I don’t know if I trust yet,’ the reality TV star added.

When shock jock Kyle asked if there was any chance they would get back together, Angie adamantly said: ‘No, nah.’

He then pressed her on what caused the split and she said that while they were very smitten on the show, things between them were ‘so different’ on the outside.

‘I think both of us a little bit (different). I’m always myself, but he got to see (me) full throttle and I was stressed after the show too.

She continued: ‘He was very religious, so he had these ideas that I could, should be a certain way, when I wasn’t.

‘I don’t want to be with somebody that wants me to change, I want somebody who will love me for me,’ she added.

The couple initially met on The Bachelorette in 2019.

Carlin has since moved on with girlfriend Emily Bradwell.
