Hollywood superstar reporter and ex DWTS contestant Renee Bargh joins STAN as its newest ambassador

‘It’s an honour to be back home’: Hollywood reporter and former Dancing With The Stars contestant Renee Bargh joins Stan as their newest ambassador

She just enjoyed a stint on Dancing With The Stars, but it appears Renee Bargh is returning to her entertainment reporter roots.

On Friday, Stan Australia announced that the Emmy Award-winning TV host is their newest ambassador.

She is expected to begin her role immediately, gracing the streaming service’s famous blue carpet at the world premiere of the Stan Original Series RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under.

New gig! On Friday, Stan Australia announced that Emmy Award-winning TV host Renee Bargh is their newest ambassador

‘After living and breathing TV and entertainment from across the globe, it’s an honour to be back home in Australia working with Stan,’ Renee, 35, said in a statement.

‘Stan has an incredible slate of both local and international content, and I’m excited to be interviewing some of the big names and Stan favourites for their Australian fans.’

And given Australia is fast becoming the new home for Hollywood stars, including Zac Efron who has just wrapped Stan’s Original Film Gold and Jamie Dornan of the series The Tourist, Renee won’t be short of work.

Over the past ten years, Renee has covered red carpets in Los Angeles, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Brad Pitt, John Travolta, Bon Jovi, Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, Johnny Depp, Cameron Diaz and Usher.

Earlier this month, she entered DWTS as a wildcard and enjoyed a short stint on the reality TV show.

Renee was axed as a host on The Voice, alongside Darren McMullen, 39, after the show moved from Channel Nine to Channel Seven.

The network is replacing the duo with former host Sonia Kruger, who made the jump to Channel Seven in November 2019.

Renee recently revealed why she decided to stay in Australia amid the COVID-19 pandemic, despite living in Los Angeles for more than a decade and covering ritzy red carpet events for Extra TV

‘I tried to control everything in my life for so long, but we realised pretty quickly this year that Mother Nature has other plans,’ she told Body & Soul earlier this month.

‘I’m trying to trust the process. That’s what this year has shown us – you can’t expect anything to go the way you expect it to go.

‘I feel so safe and comfortable here… I feel like I am here permanently and LA, I can’t wait to go back there when I can but this is home base now.’

The British and American versions of RuPaul’s Drag Race are available to stream on Stan in Australia.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under will premiere on Stan later this year.
