You with Penn Badgley has wrapped its third season as the showrunner shares the episodes will be ‘f***ing bonkers’

Penn Badgley will reprise his role as serial killing casanova Joe Goldberg in Netflix‘s You for a third season. 

And it was recently revealed by show runner Sera Gamble that they wrapped filming on April 23, as she teased ‘f***ing bonkers’ episodes in the upcoming third installment of the psychological thriller. 

Taking to Twitter to share the news, she began to reveal some piping hot tea as she wrote: ‘Today is our last day of shooting season 3 of #YouNetflix. Can I brag to you for a hot second?’

And Gamble offered a bit of information about the upcoming season as she let off some steam online. 

After bragging about ‘zero on-set positive COVID tests’ throughout the course of filming, she gave fans a bit of insight on what they could expect from the third season. 

‘I feel privileged to have gotten to witness everyone’s creativity, resilience and kindness. I mean, I knew our team was tough and good at their jobs, but holy s**t did everyone show up for each other. All the way up the Warner’s/Netflix ladder and in every production department.

And although the script was first drafted for the studio on September 8, production didn’t get underway until February as she shared photos of the script with the varying drafts. 

The show stars Gossip Girl vet Badgley and his love interest was played by Elizabeth Lail in the first season before Victoria Pedretti became the object of his affection as the plot thickened in season two.

Notoriously the show had cast now-disgraced comedian Chris D’Elia as a version of himself, as he played the part of a sexually deviant comedian named Henderson who preyed on younger females. 

Badgley had spoken out about the allegations that surfaced this past summer, and D’Elia was not tapped for a third season as his character was killed off. 

‘It did affect me deeply. I was very troubled by it. I don’t know Chris,’ he added, ‘[but] I know that, if there’s anything we need to do in this age, it’s to believe women.’s
