At the time, he was visiting the Aussie Ark wildlife sanctuary, near the Barrington Tops National Park on the New South Wales north coast.

‘Devil down under,’ he cheekily captioned the photograph.

He also featured in a post shared by Aussie Ark alongside his Down to Earth co-host Darin Olien, where the pair were seen each holding up cards that showed images of Devils, one named Manu and the other called Padfoot.

Zac’s younger brother Dylan, who is working on the show behind-the-scenes, was also at the sanctuary filming the Netflix series.

He posted a photo of himself carrying the animal and wrote in the caption: ‘I thought I knew about Tasmanian devils… but the Looney Tunes were way off.’

Dylan explained that the endangered marsupials are ‘pivotal scavengers’ that ‘play a key part in the ecosystem,’ before going on to thank the sanctuary for their work.
