Greg Norman bids farewell to Seven Lakes ranch after selling the property for ‘$52million’  

Golf great Greg Norman has bid farewell to his sprawling Seven Lakes ranch in Meeker, Colorado, amid rumours he’s preparing to permanently move back to Australia. 

Greg dedicated a sweet Instagram tribute to his beloved ranch on Monday alongside a gallery of photos showing the 12,000 acre property covered in snow.    

‘Sunday snow. A beautiful send off after two decades of owning 7L,’ the Australian sporting legend began.

‘This ranch has been an extraordinary magnificent journey of mountain life. It has been a pleasure sharing the incredible diversity this ranch with my family and friends,’ he continued.

Greg vowed never to forget the idyllic property’s ‘uniqueness’. 

‘I am confident the new owner and his family and friends will enjoy the same journey we did,’ he added.

On Tuesday, News Corp reported that Greg and his wife Kiki had sold Seven Lakes for $52million, one year after listing it on the market for $60million. 

‘Sources say the sale is expected to be finalised in the coming weeks,’ the report alleges. 

Greg will pocket an impressive profit from the sale, as he purchased the ranch for a comparatively paltry $12million back in 2004.

Seven Lakes is situated just a 20-minute drive from the town of Meeker, which has an airfield where jets can land. 

Nestled in the White River Valley of the Flat Tops Mountains, the ranch comes with horse riding trails, saloon, dance hall and access to a 3km-long private river.

The property also boasts a 1,300 sqm lodge with eight bedrooms and an at-home cinema.

The sale of Seven Lakes comes just one month after Greg offloaded his famous Jupiter Island ranch in Florida for $78million. 

The golfing icon managed to secure a buyer in just two weeks after putting it up for sale on January 27.  

According to the New York Post, the home was sold to the family of billionaire Leslie Wexner – the founder of L Brands which owns Victoria’s Secret.

Greg purchased the home for $6.4million back in 1991 and has since expanded it by almost 632 square meters.   

The property includes seven dwellings, including the main house, a coach house, a pool house, a tennis house, a boat house, a carriage house and a beach house.

News of Greg’s property purge comes amid rumours he and Kiki are preparing to move back Down Under for good.

In January, Greg told Stellar Magazine that he was yearning to return home following his battle with COVID-19.  

‘I want to get back to Australia as soon as I can. To tell you the truth, I think about coming home every second day,’ he admitted.  

Greg spent 331 weeks as the world’s Number 1 Official World Golf Rankings ranked golfer in the 1980s and 1990s.

He has won 89 professional tournaments, including 20 PGA Tour tournaments and two majors: The Open Championships in 1986 and 1993.
