Dr. Oz ‘saves a life at Newark airport by using CPR and a defibrillator’ after a man collapses

Dr. Oz reportedly saved the life of a man after he collapsed at the Newark, New Jersey airport on Monday evening. 

The television host began giving him CPR before using a defibrillator after a man fell to the ground at baggage claim, according to TMZ.

Oz — who’s full name is Mehmet Cengiz Öz —was at the right place at the right time as the man ‘flatlined’ while the doctor ‘shocked him back to life as a huge crowd watched’ from the terminal. 

The doctor reported that the man ‘was turning a horrible color and had foam coming out of his mouth when he started doing CPR.’  

A Port Authority police officer reportedly helped Dr. Oz continue CPR and cleared the man’s airway.  

Law enforcement officials confirmed the man was 60-years-old and the defib was used on the highest possible power. 

The man was taken to a local New Jersey-area hospital and is doing ‘okay’ pending lab results, but may have suffered a heart attack.

TMZ reported Oz has been in touch with the man’s wife who he was traveling with at the time. 

One Twitter user witnessed the events at the airport and tweeted a photo along with the caption: ‘Holy sh** that was dr oz on my flight?!? dude his daughter yelled out dad!!! and he ran into action.
