Priyanka Chopra gushed about being able to spend quarantine with her husband Nick Jonas.

The actress, 38, called her time in lockdown with the singer, 28, a ‘silver lining’ of the Covid-19 crisis while she appeared on Tuesday’s edition of Lorraine.

Looking back, she explained: ‘That was a silver lining of quarantine to be able to have six months together. Both of us have such crazy careers.

‘I don’t think I have been at home for six months in 25 years so I was very grateful for the time.

‘We moved into our new house and got a lot of time with each other, our dogs, it was very productive.’ 

Going on to joke about how she looked up her husband before their first date, she told Lorraine: ‘Like every self-respecting girl! I google everything.’ 

Priyanka and Nick married in December 2018 after they first started dating in July of the same year, they enjoyed a three-day celebration and four wedding receptions.

Priyanka also spoke about her new memoir Unfinished, which saw her reflect on her childhood and being bullied in school for her race – to the point where she returned home to India rather than stay in the USA.

She said: ‘Well, you know High School is hard for most people Lorraine, and being picked on for something I couldn’t control, or change, defined me.

‘I was lucky I had another home to go to and get out of that situation.’

Priyanka has been busy filming a variety of projects in London, including new film Text For You which she has just wrapped on.

She told Lorraine: ‘I am filming in London, the government allows us to do that. I just finished a film and I’m filming a TV show now, I’m just happy I could get back to work.’

The White Tiger star went on: ‘I’m very excited, I just finished filming a movie called Text For You, and Matrix 4.

‘Text For You is Celine Dion’s acting debut, and I’m doing a TV show with amazon called Citadel with Richard madden and I will be going back to the studio tomorrow.’
