Retired NRL star Sam Burgess was spotted enjoying a dip at Sydney’s Coogee Beach on Thursday.
The 32-year-old Brit, who has just finalised his divorce with ex-wife Phoebe, showed off his buff physique going shirtless as he went for a swim.
The former Rabbitohs player appeared relaxed and in high spirits, despite an impending court date on Friday after he was accused of intimidating Phoebe’s father, Mitchell Hooke, at his Southern Highlands home on October 19, 2019.

Sam, who is one of four Burgess brothers, looked fit as he paraded his physique in nothing but a pair of bright blue anchor board shorts.
Sam happily listened to music and sun baked, before going for a swim.
At one point, the father-of-two stretched out his legs on the sand while relaxing in the sun.

Police have taken out an interim AVO to allegedly protect Mr Hooke from Sam, who has had no contact with his former father-in-law for more than a year.
The hearing will continue at Moss Vale Local Court on January 22.

Mr Hooke claimed his former son-in-law stood over him in a menacing manner, called him a ‘piece of s**t’ and said ‘I’m going to get you’.
He also said he feared being hit by the footballer.
But Sam claimed it was Mr Hooke who threatened him by saying: ‘I’m going to destroy you if it’s the last thing I do. I’m going to destroy you and your career.’
Phoebe also admitted leaking a damning 50-page police statement she made about her ex-husband to a newspaper, which published allegations against him of domestic violence and drug misuse.
