During the inauguration on Wednesday, President Biden, 78, said ‘it feels like I’m going home’ as he received the keys to the White House, as Donald Trump departed.

In his first speech as president, Biden vowed to commit his ‘whole soul’ to uniting the nation and said that together the U.S. can ‘write the next great chapter in the story’.

He said this story could ‘sound a lot like’ the song American Anthem, before he recited his favorite verse from the tune.

‘We’ll write the next great chapter in the history of the United States of America, the American story,’ Biden said.
