Cameron Daddo and his wife, Alison Brahe, have long been open about the highs and lows their almost 30-year marriage.
And in the couple’s latest podcast this week, the 55-year-old Models Inc. star admitted to ‘gaslighting’ his model wife, 50, in the past.
It comes after Cameron confessed last year that he’d cheated on Alison early in the relationship, blaming alcohol for his infidelity.

Speaking on their podcast, Separate Bathrooms and Other Handy Marriage Tips, Alison bought up the issue of gaslighting after saying how much a heartfelt apology can help someone.
‘The flip side of that is gaslighting. Like when I say, “That really hurt when you did that,” and you say, “I didn’t do that,”‘ Alison said.
Cameron then admitted that he’d done that to her before.

‘I’ve done that to you. I’ve done that. And you know I’ve done that,’ he said.
He added: ‘This is where it’s hard. This is why it’s so difficult to look at the way we hurt people. And I’ve done that with you, [told you], “You’re crazy, you’re nuts.”
‘And I’ll apologise again.’
In March last year, Home and Away star Cameron admitted in a blog post that he had cheated on Alison in the early ’90s.

‘I was the one that left the marriage,’ he said, citing alcohol and his work schedule as the main reasons for his infidelity.
‘When I acted out in that way, I didn’t really want to be there,’ he continued.
‘There were reasons how I got into that place. And a lot of it was alcohol and being alone, feeling really lonely and being literally oceans away from my partner.’
Cameron said that he and Alison both had counselling to repair their marriage, and that the experience ultimately became something they could grow from.
He didn’t specify when the infidelity took place, but it was implied that it happened in the early years of their marriage and not recently.

The couple wed in 1991 and have three children together.
In 2017, the pair discussed the financial struggles they’d experienced in the mid-2000s, when Cameron was a struggling actor in Los Angeles.
In an interview with Stellar magazine, Alison revealed that their friends were leaving groceries on their doorstep just so they could feed their three children.
‘Cam still deals with feeling, you know, a lot of angst or shame around that,’ she said.
At one point, Cameron thought he’d made it after he landed a role in David Lynch’s Inland Empire, only to find out that the role paid just $500 in total.
‘It looks great on the résumé,’ he confessed. ‘But that’s the going rate for those low-budget projects. The father part of me just went, “I’ve got to get cash.”‘
The family have since returned to Australia, where Cameron works as an actor and radio presenter for Smooth FM.
