Jimmy Bartel’s girlfriend Lauren Mand is targeted by a bullying Instagram account

Jimmy Bartel’s girlfriend, Lauren Mand, is being targeted by an anonymous ‘hate account’ on Instagram.

The profile, which is run anonymously, recently uploaded several cruel posts about Lauren and her relationship with the retired AFL player.

A handful of posts reference Lauren’s close bond with Jimmy’s children, Aston, four, and Henley, one, whom he shares with ex-wife Nadia Bartel.

While the account follows Nadia’s Instagram page, the fashion designer does not follow it back.

Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting Nadia Bartel approves of the account or is even aware of its existence.

Lauren has maintained a dignified silence despite the online vitriol.

However, but she did hint at rising above her critics on Sunday when she shared a classy Instagram post about ‘smiling every day’.

Posing in a set of black pajamas, Lauren wrote: ‘Cosy Sunday night! Another weekend at home, another week down. Grateful for the life I have, smiling every day’.

She and Jimmy went public with their romance last year, after his split from Nadia.

The former Geelong Cats star and his new girlfriend have been hunkering down together in Melbourne during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Bartels announced their separation on August 15, but it is believed they actually split two months prior.

The former couple married in February 2014 in a lavish ceremony on the Bellarine Peninsula.

In May, Lauren said on Instagram that coming home from work to her stepsons, Aston and Henley, was the ‘highlight’ of her day.

In June, she declared that she ‘loved’ the boys, commenting below a photo of Jimmy and his kids playing in their backyard: ‘My besties! Love them.’

Meanwhile, Nadia has made no secret of her heartache following her marriage breakdown.

Discussing the split for the first time in April, she told Stellar magazine: ‘This is never what I thought would happen. Every day is tough.’

The Henne founder added that her priority was making sure her sons were supported emotionally during the separation.

‘I want my boys to be aware of their feelings. And if they are feeling a certain way, they can show that feeling,’ she said.

‘They are allowed to cry and allowed to come to me and say what’s happening.’
