Fans are convinced they already know who the mysterious Puppet is on The Masked Singer

The Masked Singer Australia kicked off season two on Monday by introducing viewers to six mysterious performers.

And fans are already hard at work trying to unveil which celebrity is hiding inside the Puppet costume.

Two prominent names have been pointed out on social media by eagle-eyed couch commentators, and the judges appear to have missed making the same connections to the supplied clues.

Fans are convinced they already know who the mysterious Puppet (pictured) is on The Masked Singer Australia – and the judges appear to have missed the clues

The Puppet is a male and performed Elvis Presley’s 1972 track Burning Love.

The clues given during the episode claimed he ‘loved to entertain’, but nobody was pulling his strings.

It also referenced the Magna Carta, which is a royal charter of rights agreed to by King John of England in 1215.

‘Ties have played an important part in my life, and not just because I like to look good,’ Puppet also said, adding that ‘the events of 1964’ impacted his career.

Two strong contenders based on the clues have been Anh Do, 43, and Shaun Micallef, who both entertain and have backgrounds in law.

Some fans guessed it could be comedian Anh Do, as he previously studied a Business Law degree and might have painted ‘royalty’ on his ABC program Anh’s Brush With Fame.

He also attended a 2018 event where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were present.

While the judges guessed it might be someone with a background in law or politics, fans weren’t in agreement with Dave Hughes and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson’s guess that Puppet could be former Australian Idol judge and barrister Mark Holden.

‘Hmmm… a lot saying Mark Holden but would a 66 yr old with noticeable osteoporosis risk a fall in that get up?’ one fan Tweeted.

Dannii Minogue guessed it was actor Russell Crowe, while new judge, Kiwi comedian Urzila Carlson, joked that it could be politician Barnaby Joyce.

As well as Puppet, five other masked singers were introduced in various costumes, including Goldfish, Dragonfly, Echidna, Queen, and Frillneck.

Unfortunately for Echidna, he was chosen to remove his mask and was unveiled as tennis star Mark Philippoussis, 43.

Radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson was the only one on the show’s judging panel to successfully guess who the star was.
